                                                        Component Specific Service Maintenance Schedule
                                                        Engine Oils: Extended Drain Oils
                                                        • When using extended drain oils on newer cars, Replace engine oil and filter every 10,000 KMS or once every 12-months.
                                                          • Extended drain oils are Fully Synthetic and of the highest quality available.

Reccomended Oils: Nissan Recommends the latest oils with an ILSAC GF-6A and API SP rating for all cars.
                                                        • Please refer to your car's owners manual for the best oil for your car. Where ILSAC GF-4 or GF-5 oils are recommended, you should use ILSAC GF-6A oils if available since they exceed the performance requirements of both GF-4 and GF-5 oils and are fully backwards compatible.
                                                        • The recommended viscosity of Nissan vehicles from Japan is 0W20, however oils upto 5W30 can be used so long as they meet the required ILSAC performance rating. Newer vehicles from 2017 can also use 0W16 engine oils with an ILSAC GF-6A rating.
                                                        • Vehicles used over short distances, offroad, mostly hilly terrain (over 30% of the time) should have their oils changed at half the stated intervals.
                                                        • All modern Nissan engines require and run best on Synthetic oils. Due to emmission system restrictions, Mineral oils should not be used in such engines due to EGR, PCV, Catalytic and other emmission system failures.
                                                        • Nissan vehicles imported from the European market should use ACEA performance spec oils for maximum compatibility.
                                                        Spark Plugs
                                                        • Inspect and Change normal spark plugs every 10,000 KMS. (older cars only)
                                                        • Iridium or Platinum tipped spark plugs should be inspected every 20,000 KMS (platinum) to 40,000 KMS (iridium). Replace if worn-out. Iridium or Platinum tipped spark plugs have a longer life-span of between 30,000 and 100,000 KMS depending on quality, usage and driving conditions.
                                                        ATF/CVTF Fluid
                                                        • Always use the right transmission fluid for your car. Normal Automatic transmissions require ATF fluid, while modern CVT's require CVTF fluid. Manual transmissions require gear oil. DO NOT use ATF in a CVT transmission or CVTF in an automatic transmission. Transmission fluid should be changed every 40,000KMS to 60,000 KMS or if CVT Fluid Deterioration data is high.
                                                        • During the service, remember to also replace the paper sub-strainer filter, the main strainer filter, pan gasket and clean the transmision from any sludge and metal shavings.
                                                        • For newer models, especially models equipped with idling/stop functions, you need to perform additional diagnostic procedures, including air-bleeding the electronic oil pump, CVT deterioration data reset and Calibration data reset post service or the vehicle may experience drivability issues.
